How do I restore my TextExpander snippets and settings with Time Machine?

(Applies to TextExpander 2, 3, 4)

To restore your snippets and settings, restore this file in Time Machine:  Settings.textexpander. (In version 5 this file is Settings.textexpandersettings)

Locate your settings file:

1. Open Finder.
2. Choose Go > Go to Folder (Cmd+Shft+G) and paste in the following location.
    

   ~/Library/Application Support/TextExpander/

Restore from Time Machine:

1. Quit TextExpander (if it is running)
2. Select the Settings.textexpander file.
3. Choose "Enter Time Machine" from the Time Machine's icon in the menu bar.
4. Locate an older version of your Settings.textexpander file.
5. Click "Restore."
6. Launch TextExpander

If you use Dropbox to sync your snippets, then your settings file is located here:

Dropbox/TextExpander/Settings.textexpander

You can restore any Dropbox file to a previous version from within Dropbox:
