Resolving Quarantine Issues

We’re sorry you’ve encountered trouble using PDFpen or PDFpenPro.

To resolve a problem with using OCR or updating PDFpen/Pro, please do the following:

  1. Download Fix Quarantine.zip
  2. If the .zip file does not automatically expand to a “Fix Quarantine” app, double-click it, and it will
  3. Locate your PDFpen/Pro application
  4. Drag and drop your PDFpen/Pro application onto the Fix Quarantine application
  5. You’ll be prompted to allow the Fix Quarantine app to open; click Open to proceed
  6. You’ll be prompted for your admin password, and you’ll receive a message indicating that the fix is completed

If you’re trying to perform OCR, you can go ahead, even if the app was running when you did the quarantine fix.

If you’re getting a message about an error updating from a read-only volume, quit PDFpen/Pro, re-launch it, and choose Check for Update… from the PDFpen/Pro menu.
