TextExpander v2 to v3
Transition from v.2 to v.3 of TextExpander for iPhone and iPad
Please take the following steps for optimal performance.
If you updated to TextExpander touch 2.6.1 and TextExpander 3 has your notes and snippets or if you use Dropbox to sync and don’t care about your notes, then:
- Delete TextExpander touch 2 (see “Deleting an app in iOS 8” below) as otherwise it will interfere
- Launch TextExpander touch 3
- If necessary, turn on Dropbox in the settings
- Set up the TextExpander custom keyboard
If you did not update to TextExpander touch 2.6.1 and want to transfer your notes and snippets, you’ll need to do that first:
- Quit TextExpander touch 2
- Update to TextExpander touch 2.6.1 using the Updates tab of the App Store app
- Launch TextExpander touch 2.6.1
- Quit TextExpander touch 3, if it is running
- Launch TextExpander touch 3 and ensure your notes and snippets were transferred
- Delete TextExpander touch 2.6.1
- Set up the TextExpander custom keyboard
Deleting an app in iOS 8
